The Herrnhuter Missionshilfe invites you to a trip to Suriname. The focus is on meeting people, but the magnificent tropical nature is also on the program. In Paramaribo, the capital of Suriname, community meetings are planned, but also getting to know diaconal projects and other activities of the Moravian Church. The Moravian Church in Suriname is not only the church of the Creoles, but also of other ethnic groups that came to the country and who live together peacefully, each cultivating their own culture. During excursions into the interior, the tropical rainforest can be experienced. In addition, rural congregations will have their say and share their specific challenges.

Encounter trips of Herrnhuter Missionshilfe
Once or twice a year, the Herrnhuter Missionshilfe invites you to encounter trips. These are organized at cost price and serve primarily to get to know the projects and programs of Herrnhuter Missionshilfe, but also the worldwide Moravin Church with its congregations, institutions, programs abroad.
Touristic activities, devotions as well as informative and community-building offers complete the program.
As a rule, the travel groups have a size of 15 to 25 persons. The trips are basically open to all who are interested. Members of the Herrnhuter Missionshilfe have priority in registering. The leadership is always in the hands of full-time or volunteer staff of Herrnhuter Missionshilfe. If necessary, there will be a joint preparation day at a central location in Germany prior to the trip.
