worldwide Unity - Moravian Church
The worldwide Unity is also called as Moravian Church. Thus it reminds of the beginnings of the church in Moravia.
It is divided into 25 provinces, which are organizationally and financially quite independent. Each province has a given democratic-synodal constitution (Ground of the Unity or Church Order). The synod elects the church leadership of the province as well as the bishops, who, however, fulfill a purely spiritual office. The provinces have memberships ranging from 1,000 to 250,000 and thus vary in size. In some regions the Moravian Church is a majority church, in many regions a small church alongside others.
